OPPORTUNITY

Building an extra feature for the dating app “Badoo”.

THE PROBLEM

People who use dating apps often feel hopeless, or overwhelmed, not because of Badoo itself, but because of their situation, and eventually lose their motivation, which goes on to affect their chances of finding a good match.

People who use dating apps often feel hopeless, or overwhelmed, not because of the Badoo, but because of their situation, that is why they loose their motivation earlier and this attitude affects their chance to find a good connection.

SOLUTION

I created a feature that brings a more positive atmosphere to the site, by allowing users to share amazing things that are happening to them thanks to Badoo. For example, you are on a great date or you just had a deep conversation with your match. I added a user flow where you can easily share your stories, and make it personal with a quote. These success stories are kept anonymous, but you can see how many stories are shared around you at any moment.

RESULT

Badoo users are more inspired when they see success stories of other users. It makes them more likely to spend time in the app, which also takes the Badoo community to a next level.
